Description
This set of five postage stamps was issued by the Polish Resettlement Corps in Italy in 1946. The Corps was created by the British Government for members of the Polish Armed Forces who had served with the British Armed Forces and did not wish to return to Communist Poland after the end of World War II. Members of the Corps who chose to resettle in the United Kingdom signed a two-year contract to serve in the British Armed Forces.
Mint, never hinged condition.
A fascinating collectible, especially for anyone with an interest in World War II.
