Description
This collectible souvenir sheet was issued at the end of World War II by the Polish Committee Dachau-Allach to raise funds for the Red Cross in that organization’s efforts to locate missing persons. The Dachau Concentration Camp was liberated by the U.S. Army in April, 1945, after which the camp was used to house displaced persons. Poles at the camp organized their own postal service in August 1945.
