Description
This collectible plate block of four 4-cent US postage stamps was first issued on March 23, 1937, in Washington, DC, to honor American naval heroes. The design on the stamp depicts George Dewey, 1837 – 1917; William Thomas Sampson, 1840 – 1902; and Winfield Scott Schley, 1839 – 1911.
