Description
This set of two collectible New Zealand postage stamps was issued on October 7, 1953. The blue 1?+? New Zealand penny stamp depicts Girl Guides, and the green 2+1 New Zealand penny stamp depicts Boy Scouts.
These stamps are known as Health Stamps, a long-running series of charity stamps issued by New Zealand which included an additional charge to raise money for charitable causes in addition to the regular charge for postal service. Health stamps were issued once a year from 1929 to 2016.
