This set of four Great Britain postage stamps was issued to commemorate the 100-year anniversary of the U.P.U. (Universal Postal Union), Centenary. Stamps depict the following modes of mail transport:

Farman H.F. III biplane, 1911
Airmail-blue Van and Postbox, 1930
Imperial Airways, Short S.21 Flying Boat Maia, 1937
