This set of four Norwegian postage stamps depicts Queen Maud.
Issue date: July 24, 1939.
These stamps have an interesting history. Due to World War II, the stamps were withdrawn on 26 September 1940 and became invalid for franking on 30 September 1940. 229,307 stamps were sold during the valid period. The remaining stock of 770,693 sets was confiscated by the Germans and sold abroad.
Mint, never hinged condition.
