This set of two blocks of six postage stamps each was issued by the Faroe Islands in 1980 as that entity’s Europa issue. The stamps depict Jakob Jakobsen (1864-1918), linguist and ethnologist, and Vensel Ulrich Hammershaimb (1819-1909), theologian.
