Description
This set of thirteen postage stamps was issued after the conclusion of World War II in the French-occupied area of Baden, Germany. Famous personages and landmarks associated with Baden are depicted on the stamps, including Johann Peter Hebel, a girl in a traditional folk costume from Lake Constance, Hans Baldung, and the Rastatt palace.
