Description
This collectible set of six postage stamps was issued by Belgium to commemorate the centenary of the Red Cross. Money raised by the extra charges on the stamps went to fund the Red Cross in Belgium. Stamps depict an image symbolizing blood donations, an image meant to symbolize bloodshed by weapons, and a representation of the Battlefield of Solferino and Henri Dunant (1828-1910).
