This set of two collectible Vatican City postage stamps was issued on September 29, 1987, to honor the Vatican Philatelic and Numismatic Museum. In addition to holding the entire Vatican City philatelic and numismatic production from 1929 to date, the Museum houses a collection of philatelic material and postal history (1852-1870) relating to the Papal State.
