Description
This block of four 50-cent US postage stamps was intended for use on mailings going to Asia via air mail, and depicts the Martin M-130 four-engine seaplane known as the "China Clipper". Also depicted in the stamp’s design are the shields of the U.S. and the Philippines and some watercraft, including a Chinese junk and an ocean liner.
