These collectible 5-cent US National Park Service stamps were issued to commemorates the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the National Park Service, an agency of the United States federal government under the Department of the Interior. They were first placed on sale on August 25, 1966, at the Post Office in Yellowstone National Park.
