Description

This sheet of 36 poster stamps was issued by the National Board of Fire Underwriters, presumably some time in the 1950’s. The stamps depict two small children with the silhouette of a firefighter behind them. The stamps advocate that one should "Stop Fires Save Lives" and "Make Every Week Fire Protection Week."
The sheet is in never hinged condition. There is some slight creasing at one of the top corners, which does not affect the appearance of the sheet; it would look nice framed. All in all, for its age, the item is in quite nice condition. There is a way to zoom in on the image and I encourage you to do so. It is difficult to find a full, intact sheet of these stamps.
The sheet measures roughly 11.5 inches tall by 8.2 inches wide.
Note: These stamps were not issued by an official postal agency and are not valid for postage; they are considered to be Cinderella stamps, which is a popular area of stamp collecting.
