This set of two US postage stamps was issued to commemorate the 1928 International Civil Aeronautics Conference held in Washington, DC. The 2-cent carmine rose postage stamp depicts the Wright Brothers’ airplane, while the 5-cent blue stamp depicts an airplane and globe.
