This collectible sheet of fifty 3-cent postage stamps was issued by the US Post Office to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Oklahoma Statehood. The central design of the stamp is a horizontal arrow superimposed on a solid outline map of the State of Oklahoma and piercing the orbital emblem, which has become symbolic of atomic energy. The arrow represents the frontier days of Oklahoma prior to Statehood in 1907 and the atomic symbol represents the new frontiers.
